Mid Coast Health Services appointed Joe Grant Vice President for Operations and Systems, filling the vacancy left by Phil Ortolani’s retirement. Previously, Joe was Chief Operating Officer for Penobscot Valley Hospital in Lincoln, Maine. He holds degrees from Sonoma State University and Husson University; he is a graduate of the Health Leadership Development Program at Maine’s Daniel Hanley Center for Health Leadership, and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.  

Board certified anesthesiologist Byron Hathcock, MD, has been elected Chief of Anesthesiology at Mid Coast Hospital.

Access Health has unveiled a new website at www.accesshealthme.org. Coordinated by Mid Coast Hospital, Access Health is a Healthy Maine Partnership that works with several partners to contribute to the health and well-being of the community. The goal of the new website is to provide quick access to all the different ways we can support community members making positive healthy choices in their lives.

Each December, the podiatry office of Dr. Angela M. Perron decorates its holiday tree with pairs of socks for local shelters and charities. The public is invited to hang a new pair of socks on the tree at 81 Medical Center Drive, Suite 1150, on the Mid Coast Hospital campus.
