Mid Coast Senior Health Upgrades Medical Alert Service

For many years, Mid Coast Senior Health has been helping individuals live more confidently and independently by providing a 24-hour emergency response service (previously known as Lifeline) to thousands of Bath-Brunswick area residents. This service continues to be an important part of our commitment to ensure healthier and safer lives in our community.

The medical alert program has recently been upgraded with a new equipment provider to ensure the latest technology for subscribers. The new service, now known as Mid Coast SecureCare, continues to provide locally managed customer service and support.

The 24-hour medical alert service is activated by the press of a button worn by the subscriber. When the emergency button is pressed, a signal is sent to a communicator unit in the home. SecureCare monitors respond within 90 seconds, appraise the situation, and dispatch appropriate help. This help includes medical, police, or fire personnel, plus a call to a neighbor or family member if requested.
