Heading Toward Healing
 | Lois N. Skillings President | Spring is a time of renewal. Signs of replenishment abound in nature, from buds appearing on barren trees and chickadees chirping as dawn arrives earlier each day to bright green seedlings unfurling from the soil. Meanwhile, the people of Midcoast Maine are beginning to crack open their windows, pack up their L.L.
Bean winter boots, and return to cherished outdoor traditions. Spring is, after all, a season of fresh starts and reinvigoration. At Mid Coast–Parkview Health and health care organizations around the world, spring will also see us embark on a significant healing process. Surges of COVID-19, coupled with capacity challenges, have stretched our staff to their limits. Yet, despite the myriad challenges they have faced, our providers and care team members have not backed down. They have risen to meet each difficulty with compassion. We will never forget the scars of COVID-19, and we remain vigilant even as this pandemic evolves. Our teams stand ready to deliver care. But, this spring, we will also start the long process of healing ourselves so we can continue to offer the highest quality care to our patients and community. Thank you for your continued trust and support.
