Mid Coast–Parkview Health, MaineHealth Merger Gets Final Go Ahead
Representatives from Mid Coast–Parkview Health and MaineHealth received final clearance to move forward with the planned merger of the two healthcare organizations. Mid Coast–Parkview Health will join MaineHealth as a member on March 1, 2020 and will work toward full integration over the next several months as operations become unified.

Mid Coast–Parkview Health Holds Annual Meeting
More than 250 Corporators, board members, medical staff, auxilians, and community leaders joined together at the Mid Coast–Parkview Health Annual Meeting held at Bowdoin College on January 9. At the meeting, the Corporators unanimously voted to approve a full integration with MaineHealth, following regulatory clearances.

Mid Coast Hospital’s 26th Annual Golf Fore! Health Classic on September 10 was a great success. The golf classic raised $57,160 for the Mid Coast Center for Community Health and Wellness, one of the highest fundraising totals in the tournament’s nearly three-decade history.

Mid Coast Hospital’s Addiction Resource Center Recognized for Addressing Tobacco Use
The MaineHealth Center for Tobacco Independence’s Breathe Easy initiative held the first annual Behavioral Health Gold Star Standards of Excellence Awards ceremony on Wednesday, June 7, to celebrate the efforts of Maine behavioral health organizations to address smoking and tobacco use on their campuses. Ten organizations from across the state and two individual champions were recognized for their achievements in advancing campus smoke- and tobacco-free policies as well as promoting tobacco-free lifestyles.
